Di zaman gue muda dulu, untuk kenal dengan orang, gue harus bener-bener punya nyali. Gue harus berani ngajak kenalan secara langsung dengan cara menghampiri. Gue harus berani datang ke rumah gebetan, dan minta izin ke bokapnya buat ngajak jalan. Zaman sekarang, Hape sudah membantu sekali orang-orang yang pengin kenalan tanpa perlu menghampiri. Mau ngajak jalan, ketemuan di luar rumah, tanpa perlu takut bokap gebetan marah.

Ciptakan Pencitraan
Di dunia maya, segala yang kita share itu bisa menjadi petunjuk bagi orang lain buat nebak-nebak karakter kita. Untuk itu, kita harus menciptakan reputasi yang baik di mata orang-orang. Kenapa? Karena orang pastinya lebih suka orang yang suka sharing hal-hal baik dibanding orang yang suka sharing hal-hal norak atau nggak penting, kan?

Itulah kenapa, lo harus menciptakan pencitraan yang baik juga di dunia maya agar orang yang lo deketin nggak ilfeel atau takut karena image yang lo bangun di sana. Sering berbagi hal-hal yang menambah pengetahuan, sering upload foto-foto yang menghibur, merupakan cara yang efektif untuk membuat orang tertarik terhadap kepribadian kita di dunia maya. Pencitraan yang baik, akan membuat orang lain mudah merasa nyaman sama elo. Itu poinnya.

Sok Kenal, Tidak Sok Dekat
Dalam proses pendekatan, menjadi orang yang sok kenal, boleh-boleh aja. Soalnya, kalo lo terlalu pemalu, proses itu bakal sia-sia. Hubungan kalian nggak bakal ke mana-mana. Silakan bertindak seakan lo kenal sama si gebetan lo itu, biar dia bisa notice kalo elo ada.

Nih aplikasi bakal nemuin orang-orang baru dari area sekitar lo tinggal atau lokasi yang bisa lo pilih. Siapa tau, lo nanti bisa ketemu tetangga yang diem-diem lo taksir, kan? Nggak LDR pula.

Di WOO, lo bisa memoles profile lo juga. Halaman profilenya cukup detail. Lo bisa nyebutin personality lo gimana, passion lo apa, interest lo apa, atau bahkan hal-hal sedetail tinggi badan lo, atau �voice intro�. Iya, jadi lo bisa nyapa orang yang buka profile lo pake suara yang udah lo rekam. Keren kan?

Cara makenya juga gampang! Lo bisa nyari temen berdasarkan �TagSearch� di mana WOO bakal otomatis nyediain rekomendasi teman berdasarkan hal-hal yang sama-sama kalian sukai atau kalian minati. Misal, orang-orang yang sekampus, sekota, atau sehobi, jadinya orang yang lo temuin di situ bakal dijamin nyambung karena kesamaan minat.


Selain itu, lo juga bisa kirim Direct Message ke orang yang lo suka, sehingga dia bisa menyadari kalo lo tertarik sama dia. Kalo dia tertarik, dia bakal ngeklik LIKE juga di profile lo. Jadinya, kalian �match� deh!

Ini Sejarah Gadget-gadget Yang Mempermudah Hidup Kita Sekarang

Sebagai seorang pria yang telah hidup sejak zaman komunikasi menggunakan kertas dan tulisan tangan, hingga zaman berkomunikasi jarak jauh dengan satu klik saja, gue bisa ngeliat perbedaan dunia. Sisi yang paling terlihat jelas adalah, bagaimana perkembangan teknologi mampu mengubah cara hidup orang, atau bahkan sifat orang.

Dari yang dulunya harus mengetuk pintu rumah untuk bertemu teman, sekarang bisa dengan mudah mengobrol dengan mereka melalui layar gadget. Dari yang dulunya harus menunggu satu minggu hanya untuk mendapat balasan surat dari teman, sekarang cukup nunggu beberapa detik, pesan kita sudah terbalaskan.

Gue jadi kebayang, gimana repotnya mau PDKT kalo pake surat yang dikirim via post. Misal, ngirim surat cuma berisi, �Kamu udah makan belum?� Karena lamanya surat itu nyampe, endingnya kita dapet balasan, �Aku udah makan, udah nikah, dan sekarang udah punya anak. Kamu?�

Syukurlah, banyak inovasi dalam teknologi yang sudah tercipta di zaman ini, sehingga hidup kita sangat termudahkan olehnya. Namun, mungkin kita perlu tau gimana sih, awalnya teknologi-teknologi itu tercipta?

Yuk kita simak beberapa versi awal dari gadget/teknologi yang kita pakai sekarang!

Kamera
Kemarin sempat nongol MEME yang membuat kepala migren. Begini:


Iya, kalo itu kamera pertama di Bumi, lalu yang dipake buat motret tuh kamera, apaan??

Tenang, gue udah tau jawabannya. Yang di foto di atas, bukanlah kamera pertama di Bumi, melainkan kamera terbesar di Bumi pada saat itu. Sedangkan kamera pertama itu begini bentuknya:



Kamera pertama ini ditemukan oleh Johann Zahn, pada taun 1685. Bentuknya pun masih sangat sederhana dan ukurannya cukup gede. Mungkin kalo bentuk kameranya selalu begini, orang-orang yang hobi selfi, otot bisepnya bakal gede-gede.

GPS
Zaman sekarang, mau pergi ke manapun, kita nggak perlu takut nyasar selama masih dapet sinyal satelit, karena udah ada GPS (Global Positioning System). Bahkan, semua smartphone zaman sekarang udah ada aplikasi semacam ini, sehingga proses navigasi juga jadi sangat mudah.


Gambar di atas adalah prototipe GPS pertama di dunia, yang diperkenalkan pada tahun 1932. Iya, pada zaman itu, kita belum punya koneksi internet dan satelit, sehingga GPS di atas masih sangat manual.


Cara kerjanya, seperti semacam selembar peta yang digerakkan oleh mesin yang dihubungkan ke mesin mobil. Ribet ya?

Telepon
Ini salah satu penemuan yang paling mengubah dunia. Di mana berkat lancarnya komunikasi jarak jauh, manusia jadi semakin mudah dan cepat dalam menerima informasi.


Tapi, telepon pertama yang diciptakan Om Alexander Graham Bell itu nggak sesimpel telepon yang sekarang. Bentuknya masih sangat rumit, dengan fitur yang terbatas. Iya, cuma bisa nelpon 2 arah doang. Belum nomor-nomoran, atau conference call.

Btw, ada yang belum tahu kah kenapa sampai sekarang orang kalau nelpon selalu bilang �Hello?�

Bukan.. Awalnya, Hello itu bukan bertujuan untuk menyapa, tapi Hello itu adalah nama pacar Om Graham Bell yang dia telepon saat mendemokan penemuannya ke publik. Gara-gara hal itu, orang lain jadi ikut-ikutan make �Hello� buat memulai pembicaraan saat menelpon. Mungkin, di tahun 1876 orang-orang mengira, �Hello� itu adalah sebuah mantra biar bisa ngomong sama orang yang berada di jauh sana.

Tapi ada yang bilang, istilah Hello ditemukan oleh Thomas Alva Edison. Ntah lah.. Mana yang benar. Sampai sekarang juga masih misteri, penemu lampu itu Thomas Alva Edison, atau Tesla.

Surat Menyurat
Berkirim teks sekarang sudah sangat mudah. Bahkan, di beberapa smartphone, kita nggak perlu ngetik. Kita cuma perlu mendikte, dan smartphone bakal menuliskan apa yang kita katakan, lalu mengirimkan surat itu. Di zaman ini, selain teks, kita juga udah bisa ngirim file foto atau file lain via email/chat.


Ini bukan alat pencetak dodol.

Tapi versi awal dari pengiriman teks itu dicetuskan oleh alat ini. Iya, telegram dikembangkan di Amerika Serikat oleh Samuel Morse dan asistennya, Alfred Vail, pada tahun 1837. Mungkin sebagian dari kita bingung, �Kok bentuknya kayak staples? Kok cuma ada satu tombol? Kok nggak ada abjadnya?�

Nah, di zaman itu, mengirim teks bukan diproses menggunakan huruf alphabet, melainkan menggunakan sandi morse. Di mana setiap huruf diwakili dengan kode titik maupun garis panjang. Gue masih nggak kebayang, gimana repotnya para alay kalo mau nulis pake sandi morse.

Nah, itu sebagian dari inovasi yang udah mengubah dunia karena kekreativan penemunya. Bisakah kita seperti mereka? Gue pikir, bisa.

Lihat deh, zaman sekarang masih banyak kok inovasi-inovasi yang bisa mempermudah atau berguna bagi orang banyak. Misalnya, aplikasi ojek online yang bisa dengan mudah mencarikan tukang ojek bagi yang butuh. Atau, website online store, yang membuat orang bisa belanja dari rumah. Iya, kita nggak perlu mikirin teknologi atau alat yang rumit-rumit kayak di foto-foto atas. Yang kita perlukan hanyalah merenung, lalu mencoba mengerti keresahan apa yang dialami oleh orang zaman sekarang. Lalu, ciptakan pengobat dari keresahan itu.

AUTOLAMP (PACKAGING LAMPU)

Inovasi ini berawal dari pengalaman pribadi sang inovator yaitu ketika ia membeli lampu dan memintanya untuk mengetes terlebih dahulu. Ketika si pemilik warung mencoba untuk mengeluarkan lampu itu dari kotak packaging, tiba-tiba lampu jatuh dan pecah begitu saja dikarenakan kesulitan untuk membuka kotak tersebut.

Dari pengalaman itulah penemu termotivasi untuk mendesain ulang packaging lampu agar lebih mudah untuk pengetesan. Desain menggunakan sistem sliding untuk cara membuka dan menutupnya. Di samping itu, konsep packaging dibuat multifungsi sehingga bisa berguna menjadi lampu tidur dan dudukan hiasan lampu unik.

Dengan konsep baru packaging lampu ini juga bisa mengurangi jumlah sampah sekaligus bermanfaat untuk pelestarian lingkungan.


Ecobata

Ecobata adalah sebuah inovasi bentuk baru dari batu bata yang bisa menghemat penggunaan semen. Teknik semen yang digunakan di eco bata adalah vertical cementing yaitu mengisi semen di dalam rongga ecobata.

Ecobata dapat disusun seperti lego hingga saling mengunci pergerakan antara satu sama lain. Selain itu, rongga tengah ecobata dapat dimanfaatkan dan dikreasikan untuk instalasi kabel listrik, instalasi pipa air, dan juga ventilasi udara.

Fungsi lain dari Ecobata adalah sebagai aksesori seperti pot bunga, pijakan cantik di tengah taman, bahkan pijakan refleksi untuk telapak kaki.

The latest Apple product is being released, and Mac lovers have been lining up to get their hands on the iPhone 6s. So what makes this product so special? Besides the expected software updates and advanced Touch ID, faster 4G and Wi-Fi connections, a sleeker design with a rose gold finish and of course iOS9; what are some of the new features that iPhone-fanatics can look forward to? Since Bend-gate there have been speculations regarding just how durable the latest iPhone will be. Apple have addressed this and have engineered a new alloy of 7000 Series aluminium, the same used in the aerospace industry, to ensure your phone won’t bend in your pocket. But that’s not all they have to offer.

3D Touch

This is perhaps the most exciting of the new features of the iPhone 6S. This revolutionary technology combines software and hardware to bring a new dimension of functionality to using your phone. As well as the now familiar touch gestures like Tap, Swipe and Pinch, 3D Touch introduces what Apple refers to as “Peek and Pop”. Basically, with 3D Touch your phone registers how much pressure you put on your screen. If you select an icon/message/web page, it will open or Peek out; so you get an idea of what it contains. If you want to go into that web page or message you just have to press a little harder and it will “Pop” open. It also enables the user to make even shorter shortcuts to the camera, messaging and map apps from the home screen. Seeing Apples iPhone 6S in action, it appears to be a sleek transition and one which makes the phone that bit more covetable to this tech-loving writer.

Breath-taking New Camera

The camera in the iPhone 6S has 12 megapixels and the shots it takes are absolutely stunning. It’s clearer than my own vision. Apple claims that a camera this good won’t need re-touches or filters on photos – although I doubt that will stop all the Instagrammers out there. If anything, this will just step up their game.
